DuckTales cartoon returns in 2017, might solve a mystery or rewrite history

Animated series DuckTales will return in a duck-blur with new episodes in 2017, Disney announced today via its Oh My Disney blog.

The new series features the return of its old cast — Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Launchpad McQuack, Donald Duck, Webbigail Vanderquack and more — in new adventures.

"DuckTales has a special place in Disney's TV animation history," Marc Buhaj, Disney XD general manager, said in a statement. "It drew its inspiration from Carl Barks' comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation."

The post includes a video of the DuckTales theme song set to footage of real ducks, which we're including below because ducks are cute. Also, we want the theme song stuck in your head all day. No one is safe.
