The Evil Within: The Assignment DLC launching March 10

The Assignment, the first add-on for Tango Gameworks' The Evil Within, will be released March 10, publisher Bethesda Softworks announced today.

That date applies for all platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The Assignment will be available for PS3 and PS4 in Europe on March 11. It is included in The Evil Within's $19.99 season pass, and players who don't have that can buy The Assignment on its own for $9.99 in North America, £6.99 in the U.K. and €9.99 in Europe.

Bethesda followed up last week's brief teaser with a longer gameplay trailer today; you can watch it above. The Assignment is the first in a two-part series of story add-ons that feature Juli Kidman, the partner of the protagonist from the main game. Players step into Kidman's shoes in The Assignment and its forthcoming follow-up, The Consequence, which will be available later this spring. The Assignment focuses on stealth more so than The Evil Within.

Interested parties can check out a livestream of The Assignment gameplay on Bethesda's Twitch channel on Monday, March 9, at 4 p.m. ET.
