Jurassic World's T. rex gives a jaw-dropping Lego performance

Every paleontologist knows two things: dinosaurs became birds and Jurassic World will invade theaters this summer. But it's somewhat less well-known that developer TT Games will transform the prehistoric creatures into building blocks that will invade video game systems in Lego Jurassic World.

Today, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released the first video proof of these reptiles out of time in Lego Jurassic World. Press play above to hear the fearsome roar of Tyrannosaurus rex, made famous in Jurassic Park, and see his somewhat less than fearsome jaw.

WBIE revealed Lego Jurassic World late last month as part of its 2015 lineup, which will include Lego Avengers, Batman and Ninjago games that span every modern platform. It's slated for a June release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Windows PC, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

If you're looking for something a bit more lifelike, you can watch the latest Jurassic World trailer, which debuted during the Super Bowl. The movie is scheduled for a June 12 opening.
