Groundbreaking '80s classic Deus Ex Machina gets a mobile re-release

Deus Ex Machina, a groundbreaking, genre-defying Sinclair Spectrum game released back in 1984, is now available for iOS and Android.

Deus Ex Machina 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition, which incorporates music, graphics, story, philosophy and voice-acting, was voted the best game of 1984 in its native Britain. Released by Mel Croucher, it was a work of originality that departed radically from the shooters and fighting games of the time. You can get the full story of the game here.

The new release, priced at $4.99, comes with updated graphics as well as the original version along with remastered soundtrack. Croucher is also working on a follow-up to Deus Ex Machina for multiple platforms. Due for release later this month, Deus Ex Machina 2 features actor Christopher Lee.
