Battlefield Hardline beta celebrates 5 million served

Battlefield Hardline's current open beta has passed 5 million players, beating the mark Destiny set during its beta last year.

Steve Papoutsis, the general manager of Visceral Games, touted the 5 million figure on Twitter yesterday afternoon.

It should be noted that Destiny did not release on PC.

Battlefield Hardline’s beta closes today. The game is due for a full release on March 17 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.
