The first TV spot for Poltergeist re-imagines a horror classic

The first TV spot for Sam Raimi and Gil Kenan's upcoming Poltergeist reboot offers an idea of how exactly the remake of the horror classic is being updated for 2015.

Poltergeist stars actors Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino and Jane Adams, alongside Kennedi Clements who's taking on the iconic Creepy Kid role first filled by Heather O'Rourke in the 1981 original.

Oddly, the remake has renamed the original O'Rourke character — then known as Carol-Anne, now known as Madison — but she still utters the famous "They're here" line in the trailer below.

Poltergeist is getting a PG-13 rating in America, where it's releasing to theaters on May 22.
