Carmageddon: Reincarnation commits vehicular manslaughter April 23 on Steam

Carmageddon: Reincarnation, the latest entry in the murder-infused vehicular combat series, will arrive on Steam April 23, developer Stainless Games announced this week on the game's Steam Community page.

Available for Windows PC, Carmageddon: Reincarnation was born on Kickstarter and hit Steam Early Access last March, where it evolved from alpha to beta.

The final game will include 50 events, with several event types like Classic Carmageddon and Death Race, available over nine maps that form a "vast open-world environments and [multiplayer] arenas." Reincarnation will feature 24 vehicles, more than 80 power-ups and support up to eight-player multiplayer, online or via LAN.

Those who purchase the $29.99 Carmageddon: Reincarnation between now and its release date, when it's still in Early Access, will receive the Carmageddon Classic Collection, which includes the original game and add-ons, as well as two sequels, Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now and Carmageddon TDR2K.
