The first leg of Bloodborne, the latest title from Souls series developer From Software, is really, really difficult. There are a million enemies standing between you and the game's first boss, and until you reach that boss, you can't even level up. Not only that, the world itself might be the game's biggest enemy: It's all looping alleyways and inscrutable stacks of scalable buildings, which is pretty hard to keep straight even without all the mutant murderers.
Posted above is one hour of gameplay footage from the beginning of Bloodborne, which runs from my very first death at the claws of a huge wolf-creature through the game's first boss. It could even serve as a helpful walkthrough for the first part of the game, if it weren't for all the gruesome deaths.
