Pro rasslers are just as crazy playing Gang Beasts as they are in Wrestlemania

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

This video might have been better back in January, because Gang Beasts, by Boneloaf Games, is a little more like the Royal Rumble, not Wrestlemania, which airs tomorrow. This video by Smosh Games is still charming as all bleep because WWE Diva Paige gets as unhinged playing a video game as she does, in character, in the ring.

If you're not familiar with Gang Beasts, a bizarre-o local multiplayer-only throwdown it's on Steam Early Access. The premise is similar to a battle royale: One team wins when it tosses its opponents into some disqualifying area, such as out of a wrestling ring, or into a rock pulverizer. (I'd like to see Kofi Kingston tiptoe the railing around the garbage incinerator level. That'd make for a hell of a worked shoot.)

Paige isn't the only one going at it with gusto. Superstar Xavier Woods, ultra-heel Seth Rollins, and people's champ Daniel Bryan round out the teams with Smosh's players.

Gang Beasts hit Early Access back in August and is expected for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita this year. Wrestlemania 31 airs live from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. tomorrow.
