Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is now out on Steam

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is now, unexpectedly, out on Steam for $7.99.

The third in the indie horror series was first teased last month with a short trailer that hinted at the game's setting: Five Nights at Freddy's 3 takes place 30 years after the closing of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

According to the game's official Steam page: "the events that took place there have become nothing more than a rumor and a childhood memory, but the owners of "Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction" are determined to revive the legend and make the experience as authentic as possible for patrons, going to great lengths to find anything that might have survived decades of neglect and ruin.

"At first there were only empty shells, a hand, a hook, an old paper-plate doll, but then a remarkable discovery was made...The attraction now has one animatronic."

Cawthon confirmed earlier this month that the third iteration of the bizarre horror series was in production. Five Nights at Freddy's launched in August, while it's sequel was released in November. For more on the series, check out our Overview below.
