Hugh Jackman, the actor known for portraying the X-Men's Wolverine in film since 2000, could be ready to retire that role, according to a recent post on Instagram. The actor posted a photo of the character's iconic claws with the message, "WOLVERINE ...ONE LAST TIME."
Jackman is resuming the role for a third Wolverine spin-off film, due out in theaters in 2017. The film's director, James Mangold, confirmed that the image was in regards to that film with a followup tweet. Mangold also directed 2013's The Wolverine.

Jackman has appeared in all seven X-Men movies to date as Wolverine, whether in a full role or cameo. It's still unclear if he'll be among the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse, due out next year.
