Nintendo announced earlier this year that it was shutting down Club Nintendo, its customer loyalty program, as of June 30. But this week there's an important milestone in Club Nintendo's closure: Tuesday, March 31, is the last day members can register products and take surveys to earn coins. So if you've been sitting on any Nintendo games or the post-play surveys, do them before it's too late — and before everyone rushes the notoriously fragile site on the final day.
There's also still time to reach Gold and Platinum Elite status at Club Nintendo, and choose a gift should you reach that status.
Members who attain Elite status must choose a 2015 Elite Status Gift before May 1. Club Nintendo coins can be redeemed for rewards or downloadable games through June 30; all remaining coins will be deleted when the program shuts down at 11:59 p.m. PT on that date. Nintendo eShop download codes from Club Nintendo will expire July 31.
Club Nintendo has a long list of physical and digital rewards that members can spend their coins on. Members can get the Club Nintendo desktop calendar, a Nintendo 3DS game card case, the Fierce Deity Link jigsaw puzzle, t-shirts, posters and more, or download a game from a selection of more than 100 Nintendo 3DS, Wii and Wii U titles.
