Rash, Zitz and Pimple, better known as the Battletoads, are coming to the Xbox One version of action-platformer Shovel Knight, Microsoft revealed in an ID@Xbox announcement video at GDC.

Shovel Knight is coming to Xbox One this April, developer Yacht Club Games confirmed today, with Battletoads in tow.

The toads, who made their first appearance on NES in 1991, will be part of an encounter in the Xbox One version of Shovel Knight, which is currently available for Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and PC platforms. The forthcoming PlayStation versions of the game will also feature a platform exclusive cameo: God of War's Kratos.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer announced at GDC today that Microsoft's ID@Xbox program was coming to Windows 10 for PC and will support cross-buy, so players can purchase certain games on one platform — Xbox One or Windows 10 — and play on both.
