New Dissidia Final Fantasy arcade game being developed with Team Ninja, may come to PS4

Square Enix revealed new details about its upcoming arcade game version of Dissidia Final Fantasy, revealing that Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden studio Team Ninja is co-developing the three-versus-three fighting game. Square Enix also showed off Dissidia Final Fantasy's arcade cabinet and confirmed that Final Fantasy Tactics' Ramza Beoulve will be playable in the game.

Dissidia Final Fantasy's arcade version will run on a version of Sony's PlayStation 4 hardware, but the publisher said the fighting game will be exclusive to arcades for at least a year, 4Gamer reports. The new Dissidia is planned for release this fall in Japan, and Square Enix will be playtesting it at select locations later this month.

Ramza Beoulve from Final Fantasy Tactics will be added to the game in a post-release update, according to a report from Final Fantasy Network. Other playable characters include Final Fantasy's Warrior of Light, Final Fantasy 3's Onion Knight, Final Fantasy 6's Terra Branford, Final Fantasy 7's Cloud Strife, Final Fantasy 13's Lightning and Final Fantasy 14's Y'shtola.

Square Enix also released a new trailer for the arcade version of Dissidia Final Fantasy, which you can watch above. it features some of the fighting game's newly revealed summons, a Final Fantasy staple.
