Magicka: Wizard Wars announces April 28 launch with head-bangin' video

Magicka: Wizard Wars couldn't just come right out and say it's launching April 28, because that's no fun. Instead, they cooked up a cheesy 1980s power ballad to deliver the news. Sometimes I start nodding my head like yeah, yeah, keep on rockin' and then I start shaking it like no, no, don't stop rockin'.

See, this actually has lyrics. That's right, there's songwriting involved. Magicka: Wizard Wars is available on Steam Early Access right now; this is the stuff that'll be in the free-to-play brawler come April 28.

There will be a new progression system, a new in-game economyand a try-before-you-buy option for the spells you use, and a bunch more. Some of these features will be available in Early Access this coming Tuesday (April 14). For more, see these patch notes.

There also will be a new game mode launching with the full release on April 28. We don't know what it is, but the way Paradox chose to reveal it after the fact is worth sticking around in the video.
