Tickets to BlizzCon 2015 go on sale tonight

Tickets for BlizzCon 2015 will go on sale tonight and on Saturday, and those who buy "virtual tickets" later in the year will have an option to get a goodie bag of their own, Blizzard Entertainment announced today.

BlizzCon general admission tickets are $199.99 (plus a $4) fee. They will go up for sale here at 10 p.m. ET today (April 15) and a second batch will be available at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday.

A third group of tickets, bundling general admission and a seat at a benefit dinner for Children's Hospital of Orange County, will go on sale 10 p.m. ET Wednesday, April 22 for $750.00 (and no fee), representing the cost of general admission and a contribution to the charity.

The ninth annual BlizzCon is Nov. 6-7 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

"Virtual Tickets," by which fans can attend through a multichannel online stream, will go on sale sometime closer to the convention's start. Virtual ticket buyers will get a "goodie bag" previously available only to those who attended in person; it will contain "a cache of cool loot to commemorate the occasion," Blizzard said in an announcement. Supplies will be limited "and some regional restrictions will apply."

More details will be shared before virtual tickets go on sale.
