Rumor: Star Wars Battlefront launching in November on PC, PS4, Xbox One

Star Wars Battlefront will be released Nov. 17 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, according to the source code for the game's website, as discovered by NeoGAF.

Publisher Electronic Arts is set to reveal details about Star Wars Battlefront starting at 1:30 p.m. ET tomorrow during Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California. But ahead of that event, the source code for the news page of the game's official site contains the following phrase: "The latest news and updates for Star WarsTM Battlefront . Available November 17, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC." You can see a screenshot here.

That would fit with EA's previously announced release window of holiday 2015.

NeoGAF also found an image that appears to be a screenshot of Star Wars Battlefront, and you can see it above. There's a snippet of game footage in a small annotation window at the end of the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the screenshot looks similar to it.

Dennis Brännvall, lead level designer on Star Wars Battlefront at developer EA DICE, tweeted on April 2 to "answer a question in advance: Yes, that is actually what the game looks like." Brännvall followed that up today to add, "That's not CGI."

We've reached out to EA for comment, and will update this article with any information we receive. You can watch the E3 2014 trailer for Star Wars Battlefront below.
