NBA 2K15 says the Warriors come out champions in this year's playoffs

The NBA Playoffs get underway in 90 minutes with Washington at Toronto, and if you're a betting person, NBA 2K15 says lay your money on the Golden State Warriors to win their first title since Rick Barry was making granny-shot free throws in 1975.

2K Sports' basketball simulation calls for Golden State to prevail in six games against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, with sharpshooter supreme Steph Curry (pictured) taking NBA Finals MVP honors.

NBA 2K15 says Cleveland's road goes through 5-game victories over Boston (first round) and Chicago (second) before a six-game upset of top-seeded Atlanta in the conference finals. The Warriors, meanwhile, dispose of New Orleans in 5, the Portland Trail Blazers in 6, and go the distance against San Antonio in the Western Conference finals. This is an admittedly unscientific prediction model, but sports video games have still had a good run at forecasting their leagues' postseason. In February, Madden NFL 15 not only picked the winner of the New England Patriots-Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl, it nailed the exact final score.

Earlier this week, EA Sports' NHL 15 called for Anaheim to triumph over the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Finals. Both lead their opening-round series 1-0 heading into their second games this evening.
