Details continue to filter in following yesterday's reveal of Star Wars Battlefront at the Star Wars Celebration on Friday. For those wondering, yes, you may play the game solo, no online co-conspirators necessary, through a bot mode called "Missions."
Bot play was a staple of the original Battlefront on PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and that sounds like what this is, according to Niklas Fegraeus of DICE. All he's doing is confirming the same thing will be present.
We have a feature called Missions that allow you to play solo or cooperatively with bots on or offline https://t.co/v7IL7fuC8G

Moreover, assistant producer Jesper Nielsen weighed in via NeoGAF to verify that, no, the game will not use Battlelog, the multiplayer portal for games in the Battlefield series developed by DICE. The system that Star Wars Battlefront will use is "built from scratch" Nielsen said, adding that there will be "no browser game launching."
Star Wars Battlefront is due for a holiday release on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. For more, see Polygon's preview from the Star Wars Celebration.
