Valiant Hearts' first episode is now free on iOS

The first episode of Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Ubisoft Montpellier's emotional World War I adventure game, is now available for free on iOS.

Valiant Hearts is split up into four parts on Android and iOS. The first one was previously priced at $4.99, with the other three available individually as $3.99 in-app purchases or in a bundle for $8.99. Ubisoft updated the iOS version today to make the first episode free, according to the game's version 1.1.0 update notes. The price for the subsequent episodes hasn't changed, and the game's Android version on Google Play still costs $4.99.

Ubisoft launched Valiant Hearts last June on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, followed by iOS in September and Android in November.
