Behind-the-scenes video shows Guitar Hero Live's new controller in action

A behind-the-scenes video for Guitar Hero Liveannounced last week, shows a little more of how the game's new six-button guitar controller will work when Activision's rhythm series returns later this year.

FreesStyleGames, the developing studio, also goes a little further into the design choices they made in rebooting Guitar Hero, particularly the use of full-motion video and the first-person perspective for the series. Guitar Hero TV, a "playable music video network," also gets mentioned and briefly discussed.

The controller, GHTV and full-motion video were all part of our in-depth look at Guitar Hero Live last week, so see this feature for more on those components. Guitar Hero Live will come to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with controller-supported versions also on the way to tablets and smartphones. A specific launch date has yet to be announced.
