Garbage Day is like Groundhog Day but with much more violence

Welcome to Garbage Day, an eye-catching open world sandbox game in which players are stuck in a perpetual time loop.

Created by Lithuania-based Svajūnas Žemaitis and inspired by the movie Groundhog Day, the game encourages players to explore their world, and do anything that they like. Violence and dismemberment are options, as well as being nice, eating cereal and jumping from tall buildings.

According to the game's Steam Greenlight page, there is a point to all this: Players can find their way out of the loop and back to reality.

"You are open to do anything you want, kill innocent people, go to work, watch TV, go to the park," states Žemaitis. "I don't want to spoil anything, but you'll be surprised how open ended this game is." The Windows PC, Mac and Linux game has no release date as yet.
