Breath easier, cord-cutting Cartoon Network fans: Hulu has just announced that they'll have exclusive rights to stream the network's biggest shows, starting next week.
In a post on its official blog, the company confirmed that full seasons of Cartoon Network's Adventure Time, Dexter's Laboratory, Ben 10 and Regular Show, as well as Adult Swim hits Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken and The Venture Bros. will be available only on Hulu, starting May 1. And while early seasons of some of these shows were at one time available on other platforms like Netflix, Hulu has also secured rights to shows that have never been available for a streaming audience.
From the post:
Stand out titles include Adult Swim original series Rick and Morty, Black Jesus, NTSF:SD:SUV and Cartoon Network original series such as The Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe, Over the Garden Wall and Clarence.
That's a healthy helping of shows that have previously been difficult to track down on a streaming subscription service, and it couldn't come at a better time for Steven Universe, which seems to have hit peak audience interest after its first season finale.
Hulu adds that all of the series associated with Cartoon Network (rather than Adult Swim, the reason for which will become clear by the end of this sentence) will be available to stream without ads on the company's Hulu Kids platform. Good news for the many adult fans of Adventure Time and Cartoon Network's other generation-spanning 'toons.
