Jason Vorhees from the Friday the 13th series is coming to Mortal Kombat X on May 5, developer NetherRealm Studios announced today during a livestream. The add-on character will be available first to players who purchased the Kombat Pack DLC, which costs $29.99.

Players who haven't purchased the Kombat Pack will be able to purchase Jason one week later. He'll also be playable as part of the game's "Premiere Towers," even if players haven't purchased him.

Jason is one of four confirmed downloadable characters coming to Mortal Kombat X. He'll be joined by Mortal Kombat characters Tanya and Tremor, as well as the Predator from the movie series of the same name, at a later date.
