Thralled was first revealed back in 2013 and was soon picked up by Ouya as an exclusive for that fledgling console.
The game is a sideways-scrolling platformer that takes on the theme of slavery. Trailers and demos shown so far suggest heavy emotional resonance, including this new teaser (above).
Developer Miguel Oliveira this week announced that Thralled will, after all, be coming to Windows PC, Mac and Linux in 2015, as well as to Ouya.
"Ouya will be working with us to release Thralled on multiple platforms because they feel, as we do, that the game should be experienced by as many people as possible," said Oliveira, in an interview with Polygon.
"We believe that the themes that Thralled depicts, such as slavery and the destruction of a family, are crucial for us to reflect on together as humankind, and which everyone should have the chance to engage with through video games."
