Here's the Halo 5: Guardians cover art

The wraparound box art for this fall’s Halo 5: Guardians pits Master Chief against Spartan Locke, as well as soldiers loyal to both.

The cover reveal wraps up a month-long alternate-reality game through the Tumblr site HuntTheTruth, which featured audio logs voice-acted by Keegan-Michael Key, better known as one half of Comedy Central's Key & Peele sketch series (and, more recently, President Obama's "Anger Translator.")

The cover appears to set up Halo 5: Guardians as a showdown between forces who have conflicting missions but are actually on the same side. Here's an "illustrated poster" if the one above doesn't do justice to that concept.

Halo 5: Guardians launches Oct. 27 on Xbox One.
