Destiny: House of Wolves, the game's second expansion, will bring three new competitive multiplayer maps to the Crucible — four if you're playing on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4, Sony announced today.
Timekeeper, seen above, is the PlayStation-exclusive map in House of Wolves. It's set inside a Vex-built structure on Mars. Black Shield takes Destiny to Phobos, one of Mars' moons, for the first time. Thieves' Den is a close-quarters map on Venus. And the other new map is Widow's Court, which brings the battle to another new area: the European Dead Zone on Earth.
Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, included a PlayStation-exclusive strike as well as some exclusive gear.
Crucible matches will also be more rewarding than ever. Players will receive twice as many engram drops in House of Wolves as they do now, and double the Crucible marks. Plus, the daily featured gametype (Control, Clash, etc.) will offer guaranteed rewards.
Bungie is offering more details on House of Wolves' additions to the Crucible in a livestream today that focuses on the Trials of Osiris, a new three-on-three elimination mode. We'll bring you all the latest from the stream as the news breaks.
House of Wolves will be released May 19. For more, watch its prologue below.
