Attack on Titan is getting a live-action television show this August on Docomo's streaming video service and will tie in with the two upcoming live-action movies, according to Anime News Network.
The show, which will be directed by Shinji Higuchi, will tell the story of the everyday lives of the soldiers in the fiction's post-apocalyptic world ruled by flesh-eating giants. Higuchi also directed both live-action films. Many of the stars from the movie will also make the leap over to the show, according to the report.
The Attack on Titan manga, created by Hjime Isayama, has a massive cult following fueled by the book's spinoff manga, anime series and anime films. The movies are set to premiere in August and September in Japan.
