Bungie selling Destiny shirt, emblem and shader to support Nepal relief efforts

Developer Bungie is joining the cause to raise money for Nepal relief and long term reconstruction efforts after the country was devastated by an earthquake that left thousands dead and even more injured. The studio is appealing to charitable Destiny players by offering an exclusive t-shirt, in-game shader and emblem, with profits going to charities that have direct relief efforts in Nepal.

Bungie is taking pre-orders for the Destiny Nepal Aid t-shirt in its store right now for $24.99. Buyers will get a custom in-game shader and custom in-game emblem, which Bungie says it's currently working on. Shirts are expected to ship in June, with in-game rewards coming later this year.

Pre-orders are open until Sunday, May 24 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the area in and around Kathmandu in Nepal on Saturday, April 25, killing 5,489 people and wounding more than 11,000, according to Nepalese officials.
