Here we go, time for Fallout 4 leaks to potentially begin!
Mirada Studios was set up by director Guillermo del Toro, Mathew Cullen, cinematographer Guillermo Navarro and executive producer Javier Jimenez, to work on "a convergence of perspectives focused on advancing the art and science of storytelling," according to the company's page. Destructoid found a Linkedin profile from a Mirada contract artist that showed four months of work on a cinematic trailer for Fallout 4.
This is a juicy scoop, but what came later is even more interesting. Destructoid was told to pull the story:
We received an email from Mirada Studios demanding we pull this story. A representative cited inaccuracies, but also confirmed the story was breaking a non-disclosure agreement. As nobody at Destructoid signed an NDA, we're assuming that confirms somebody else broke NDA. I wonder who might be in trouble.
So we have two things here: One, something in the image of this artist's work broke a non-disclosure agreement, and I doubt it was the fact that they worked on Forza. Two, Mirada Studios is claiming the story contained "inaccuracies," so something may not be quite as it seems, or they're trying to obscure the nature of the work by casting doubt on how it's described.
It may be pretty safe to get excited about Fallout 4.
