Top-down seafaring adventure Windward has emerged from Early Access and is on sale now, via Steam, for $12.74, a 15 percent reduction on its full price.
Set in the age of sail, players take control of ships in order to explore, best pirates and open up trade routes. Interviewed earlier this year by Polygon, Windward's creator Michael Lyashenko said the game is inspired by the likes of Sid Meier's Pirates, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Age of Booty.
"I like the atmosphere of just sailing around," he said. "It's very peaceful and then you see a pirate and it becomes very hectic and you are trying to stay alive, positioning your ship to line up your guns."
A new trailer for Windward (above) has also been released.
