Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King is headed to Nintendo 3DS in Japan August 8, according to the game's official site.
Gematsu's translated report says that the 3DS version will include a new scenario, new party members, voiceover, StreetPass support and music by the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.
Developed by Level-5 and originally released in 2004 for PlayStation 2, publisher Square Enix also brought Dragon Quest 8 to Android and iOS last May for $19.99.
We've contacted Square Enix about a western release for Dragon Quest 8 and will provide more information as it becomes available.
