But while food is all-around important to us, its varying role in games is rarely ever discussed, he says. Food impacts everything in games, from serving as a health restoration item to being the very basis of the experience, as in Cooking Mama. It can also vastly change the way players enjoy a game, whether it acts as a simple extra or a must-have item.
