Videos for what appear to be a remastered, Xbox One version of the Gears of War games started popping up online this week.
The videos, apparently captured with Xbox One's DVR capabilities, were quickly removed from several sites that automatically pull Xbox One recordings from the cloud, but not before they were grabbed by viewers and reposted elsewhere.
The videos appear to show a Gears of War with improved lighting effects, textures and framerate then the Xbox 360 original.
Polygon first reported on rumors of a remaster coming to Xbox One in April. Sources tell us the game is being worked on by Brink and Dirty Bomb developer Splash Damage.
The videos above and below match what we have seen from sources involved in early testing of the game's online modes.
We've reached out to Microsoft for comment on the still only-rumored game and will update when they respond.
