The first trailer for season 2 of True Detective hit all the right forlorn notes, but the latest look at the upcoming show feels drastically darker. Each major character is finally given the chance to speak, and their lines seem to betray a lot about their personalities.
The second season of True Detective features Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Kelly Reilly. While the first season followed Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as Louisiana State Police homicide detectives, season 2 takes place in L.A.
