Sony's PlayStation Network is down (update)

It's not just you: Sony's PlayStation Network is currently experiencing technical issues affecting online connectivity, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Now, account management and more, according to the company's service status page.

The most recent status update from PSN is available as of 5 p.m. PT, and it appears the service is still experiencing a wide-ranging outage. DownDetector shows that a large number of users are reporting issues with PlayStation Network and online games such as Destiny and Call of Duty.

Sony says it's investigating the issue. We've reached out to Sony for details on the outage.

Update: PlayStation Network services have been restored.
