Five years ago today, Remedy's Alan Wake hit North America.
The narratively-driven adventure game was highly praised and to date has sold more than 3.2 million copies on the Xbox 360 and Windows PC. But despite the reception and plans for a sequel, the game's ongoing story remains mothballed.
