Mortal Kombat X players will soon be able to outfit their fighters in new costumes, including three suits that pay tribute to the nation of Brazil, series creator Ed Boon confirmed today on Twitter.
The Brazil Costume Pack will add a "Soccer" costume for Johnny Cage, a "Capoeira" suit for Liu Kang and a "Gaucho" getup for Kung Lao. Soccer, or football, is a veritable religion in Brazil. Capoeira is an acrobatic Brazilian martial art. A "gaucho" is a cowboy from the southern region of the country (and elsewhere in South America).

Boon's tweet confirms part of a leak from last week. We've reached out to publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for comment, and will update this article with any information we receive.
Mortal Kombat X's $29.99 season pass includes four additional characters and a skin pack for each one, along with some other character skins. All three of the kombatants in the Brazil Costume Pack are already available in the main game. For more on the game, check out our Overview video below, and our review.
