Microsoft will release a limited edition Xbox One bundle for $349 this month that includes Halo: The Master Chief Collection, according to a post today on Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb's site.
The U.S.-only bundle ships with a code for a 59.11 GB download of The Master Chief Collection, which includes Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4. The console does not include Kinect. A black Master Chief Collection Xbox One bundle is currently on sale for $349.99. While the white console's hard drive size isn't specified, the black console has 500 GB of storage.
According to Major Nelson's post, the Xbox One Special Edition Halo: The Master Chief Collection bundle "will be available in limited quantities for a limited time at participating U.S. retailers while supplies last so once they’re all gone, they’re all gone!" Rather than specify those stores, the post advises potential buyers to check with their local retailers.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released last November and retails for $59.99. To make good for the game's troubled launch, developer 343 Industries plan to give those who purchased the game shortly after its release a remastered version of Halo 3: ODST free this month.
Xbox One consoles begin at $349.99 without Kinect or bundled games. With Kinect, the console retails for $499.99.
