Coldplay's Game of Thrones: The Musical is just as amazing / terrible as you'd hope

"It was the first romantic ballad about incest in Coldplay's career," Liam Neeson intones in a deep voice as the actor behind Jaime Lannister sings "Closer to Home," a song about being a king's uncle ... as well as his father.

This sort of thing goes on for about 12 minutes. It's magical. It's cringe-inducing. It's for a good cause.

Part of the fun of this kind of parody is seeing how comfortable the actors are playing against their on-screen personas, which makes jokes about Theon and Ramsay staring each other down before complimenting each other on their shirts so much fun. Also, people make fun of Kit Harington's Jon Snow for a few reasons, but the guy has some pretty impressive comedic timing.

This was a good way to start Friday.
