Oculus VR will hold its second annual developer conference, Oculus Connect 2, from Sept. 23-25 in Hollywood, California, the company announced today.
The event will once again be held at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. Oculus Connect 2 will go for one more day than the inaugural conference, which ran from Sept. 19-20 last year. Oculus VR will open up registration for Oculus Connect 2 in June.
Keynote speakers scheduled to present at Oculus Connect 2 include Oculus VR officials Brendan Iribe, CEO; Michael Abrash, chief scientist; and John Carmack, chief technology officer. The conference will provide "everything developers need to know to launch on the Rift and Gear VR," according to a blog post from Oculus.
Samsung launched the first Innovator Edition of the Gear VR headset last December, a unit designed for the Galaxy Note 4 phablet. The company followed it up two weeks ago with a version of the hardware to fit the Galaxy S6 smartphone. Oculus VR announced earlier this month that the consumer-oriented release of the Oculus Rift is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2016.
