The previous-generation console versions of NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat X may have slipped beyond summer, based on new release dates for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 ports.
Retailers Amazon and Gamestop now list Mortal Kombat X for PS3 and Xbox 360 for release on Dec. 31, 2015, likely a placeholder date for a title that is now expected to arrive sometime in this year, but later than expected. Previously, the game was dated for June, though retailers like Walmart and Target still list the title for release next month.
Kotaku reports that Gamestop informed customers that the title had been delayed to fall.
Mortal Kombat X was released on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on April 14. High Voltage Software, which handled the troubled PC port of the game, is also developing the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Polygon has reached out to reps for publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for confirmation on the game's second delay, but did not receive a response.
