Microsoft will continue this month's strategy for Games with Gold free games in June, delivering Xbox Live Gold subscribers three free games and an extension of another one, the company announced today.

Double Fine Productions' Massive Chalice, which began as a Kickstarter-funded project in May 2013, will launch June 1 on Linux, Mac and Windows PC via Steam as well as Xbox One. That day, it will be available free to Xbox Live Gold members as part of Games with Gold, and will stay free all month long.

The other free Xbox One game for June? It's Cherry Pop Games' Pool Nation FX yet again. The billiards game launched April 1, and was available free throughout April as a Games with Gold title. Microsoft extended the promotion through May, and announced today that Pool Nation FX will continue to be available free from June 1-30.

Xbox 360-owning Gold subscribers will be able to download two Square Enix-published titles during June. Avalanche Studios' Just Cause 2 will be available free from June 1-15. During the second half of the month, the free game will be Eidos Montreal's Thief, the reboot from 2014.
