The Elder Scrolls: Tamriel Unlimited pitches scope and scale freedom in latest trailer

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited — the rebranded, subscription-free, console-friendly update of 2014's The Elder Scrolls Online — has a new trailer out today. It's the beginning of a series designed to inform players about the scope of the game world. The game launches June 9.

The first offering, titled Freedom and Choice, "explores the freedom to forge your own path and the countless choices you’ll face along the way including deciding your race, alliance, class, playstyle, and ability specializations."

The video describes how, in classic Elder Scrolls fashion, every player will begin life as a prisoner. Among other choices in the early game will be the chance for players to choose an alliance, which will determine their allies and enemies in the game's ongoing civil war. Players will be able to use every weapon and armor type, regardless of their class, and have the opportunity to go wherever they want in the game world.
