Universal Orlando this week detailed its amusement park take on Kong: Skull Island with some concept art, and a bit of explanation for the upcoming ride based on the 2017 movie.
The Skull Island: Reign of Kong ride is set to hit the park in the summer of 2016.
"You'll navigate perilous jungles, explore ancient temple structures and encounter hostile natives — and that's only the beginning," according to the post written on the park's official blog. "Throughout the rest of your excursion, you'll brave foreboding caves crawling with prehistoric creatures, fend off unspeakable terrors — and even come face-to-face with the colossal Kong himself."
The ride is meant to be massive, according to the post, which adds that "you'll be pulled into a powerful, intense fight for survival as you discover a side of the iconic beast that has never been revealed ... until now."
