Jurassic World was always going to do well at the box office, and after two days of release we have some indications that the film is outpacing studio expectations. Jurassic World is already on track to have one of the biggest opening weekends of all time.
"Jurassic World outperformed even the most optimistic of forecasts with an $82.8M Friday, the third best Friday opening on record, with only Age of Ultron ($84.4M) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 ($91M), still ahead of it," Box Office Mojo reported.
It's very possible that the film will continue to beat expectations and could overtake Age of Ultron as the second largest opening weekend in modern box office history.
