This E3 is all about virtual reality, and Crytek has just announced a new virtual reality game called Robinson: The Journey. The website doesn't have a ton of information yet, but here's the official description:
Go beyond boundaries in Robinson: The Journey, a brand new virtual reality game from Crytek. Harnessing the power of CRYENGINE, Robinson: The Journey will offer players an unparalleled sense of presence in a game world as they assume the role of a young boy who has crash-landed on a mysterious planet. With freedom to explore their surroundings in 360 degrees of detail, players will become pioneers by interacting with the rich ecosystem around them and unearthing incredible secrets at every turn.
Crytek has been showing off a quick demo in virtual reality where the player encounters dinosaurs and stands among hatching eggs, and the technology was impressive. This is the first indication that the demo is being turned into a full game, and it's likely we'll hear about the target platforms during E3.
