Microsoft announced Recore, a new game from former Mega Man producer Keiji Inafune, Comcept and ex-Metroid Prime developers at Armature Studio, at its E3 2015 media briefing today. The game, which appears to be set in a desert environment, follows a nomad protagonist and a series of robotic sidekicks, which are powered by a blue glowing core.
In the debut trailer, the protagonist battled a series of robotic enemies, and her robotic, canine sidekick sacrificed itself to protect her. She later revived her partner in a new body, that of a much larger humanoid robot.
The game is exclusive to Xbox One, Microsoft's Phil Spencer announced.
Recore is dated for spring 2016.
