Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, the fifth main game in the Star Ocean franchise, will be released in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 in 2016, publisher Square Enix announced today during its E3 press briefing.

The game is scheduled to launch this winter in Japan on PlayStation 3 and PS4. Developer Tri-Ace is aiming for a frame rate of 60 frames per second, and producer Shuichi Kobayashi said during the event that Integrity and Faithlessness is a "good old-school Japanese RPG." Kobayashi also debuted the title's first gameplay trailer at the event.
