Destiny's next expansion, The Taken King, will continue the series' arrangement between Sony and Activision for exclusive content on PlayStation platforms, and Sony revealed the details earlier this week.
The amount of exclusive content in The Taken King is similar to the amount of exclusives in Destiny, The Dark Below and House of Wolves. The PlayStation-exclusive content to this point will remain exclusive until at least this fall. Destiny's website notes that Xbox 360 and Xbox One players won't get The Taken King's exclusives until at least fall 2016.
The Taken King players on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will be treated to an exclusive Vex strike, Echo Chamber; an exotic scout rifle called Jade Rabbit; and one set of armor for each of Destiny's three classes. They'll also get an exclusive Crucible map, Sector 618:
Challenge your fellow Guardians in this Crucible map set within the ruins of an Earth colony reclaimed from the House of Wolves. Fans of Clash and Control modes will find plenty to love in this mid-sized arena: each side's narrow chambers give way to an open center area, connected only by two exposed bridges and a handful of small platforms for the adventurous.
The Taken King launches Sept. 15 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One for $39.99. For more on the expansion, check out our hands-on impressions from E3 and our video interview below.
